Casa Muñoz is a well-known guesthouse on Calle Marti, directly facing Plaza Mayor. The colonial courtyard filled with plants and rocking chairs is a genuine highlight. Rooms are simple but maintained well, with good cross-ventilation for the warm months. The owner Jose Muñoz has been hosting travelers for years and knows the city inside out. Booking ahead is essential as this place fills up quickly.
Hotel Iberostar Grand Trinidad
The Iberostar Grand Trinidad occupies a restored colonial mansion on Jose Marti Street, steps from the main plaza. The interior courtyard with a pool is one of the better amenities available in this city. Rooms are spacious with polished tile floors and period furniture that fits the setting. Service is consistent and the staff speaks multiple languages. The buffet breakfast is solid, though dinner options in the restaurant are a bit limited.

Hotel Las Cuevas Trinidad
Las Cuevas sits on a hillside above the historic center, giving most rooms a view over the red-tiled rooftops and out toward the Caribbean. The bungalow-style layout spread across the grounds means you get privacy but also a bit of a walk to the main building. The pool area is the social hub and a good place to meet other travelers. Rooms are dated but comfortable with reliable air conditioning. The location above town means fewer street noises at night.

Memories Trinidad del Mar
This all-inclusive resort sits directly on Playa Ancon, about 12 kilometers south of the historic center. The beach here is genuinely good, with calm clear water and a long stretch of sand. Rooms in the main block are standard all-inclusive fare, clean and functional with balconies facing the sea. The resort runs shuttle buses into Trinidad town several times a day. Food quality is average for an all-inclusive but the beachfront setting compensates considerably.

Hotel Brisas Trinidad del Mar
Brisas Trinidad del Mar is the larger of the two beach resorts at Playa Ancon, with more facilities and a wider stretch of private beach. The water sports center offers snorkeling, kayaking, and catamaran trips that are well organized. Rooms have been partially renovated and the superior sea-view category is worth the small upgrade. The evening entertainment program is lively and the Cuban music nights are a genuine draw. Transit to the colonial city is easy with taxis always available at the entrance.

Hostal Don Tomas
Don Tomas is a restored colonial house on Calle Llano in the center of Sancti Spiritus, about 70 kilometers from Trinidad. The building dates to the 18th century and the thick stone walls keep the interior noticeably cooler than the street. Rooms are individually decorated with antique furniture and original tile floors. The staff runs the place with real attention to detail and the patio garden is a quiet spot in the afternoons. Sancti Spiritus is undervisited compared to Trinidad and this makes a good base for exploring both.
Hotel Encanto Ordono
Hotel Ordono sits in the Punta Gorda peninsula of Cienfuegos, a two-hour drive west of Trinidad. The building is a beautifully preserved art deco structure right on the Malecon with views across the bay. Rooms are spacious and decorated with period furniture that suits the architecture. The rooftop terrace at sunset with views over the bay is one of the better moments you can have in this part of Cuba. Cienfuegos pairs well with a Trinidad trip and Ordono is the most characterful option in the city.
Hotel Melia Trinidad Peninsula
The Melia Trinidad Peninsula is the premium option at Playa Ancon, positioned at the quieter end of the peninsula with a private beach section. The rooms are significantly larger and better finished than anything else in the Trinidad area, with proper bathrooms and quality linens. The adults-only pool area and dedicated butler service for higher categories make this feel genuinely different from the other Ancon resorts. The a la carte restaurant is the best dining option within the resort zone. If you want colonial atmosphere, take the 15-minute taxi into town.

Iberostar Selection Playa Trinidad is the top all-inclusive property in the Trinidad beach area, occupying a prime stretch of Playa Ancon.
