This all-inclusive sits directly on Playa Dorada beach, and the beach here is genuinely one of the better stretches on this coastline. The pool area is large and well-maintained, popular with families throughout the day. Food quality across the restaurants is consistent, though the Italian option is clearly the strongest. Rooms received a recent refresh and feel considerably less dated than neighboring properties. The golf course access next door is a real bonus for those who play.
Iberostar Costa Dorada
The Iberostar sits on its own quiet stretch of Costa Dorada beach, about ten minutes east of Puerto Plata town. The property is large but laid out well enough that it does not feel chaotic. Entertainment programs are active without being forced on guests who prefer peace. The swim-up bar at the main pool gets crowded by midday, so arrive early for a good spot.
