The rooms are noticeably cleaner and better maintained than many competitors at this price level. Security arrangements are solid, which matters in this city, and staff speak English reasonably well.

Hotel Rays is one of the most recognized mid-range options in Hargeisa, located along Airport Road with easy access to Egal International Airport. Premier Inn Hargeisa along Airport Road is the closest thing to an international-standard luxury hotel in the city. Rooms are well appointed with quality linens, strong showers, and reliable Wi-Fi throughout. The pool area is one of very few in Hargeisa and is well kept. The restaurant menu is extensive and the kitchen handles both local and Western dishes competently. It caters largely to senior UN officials, diplomatic staff, and corporate travelers with high expectations.
