Where to Stay in Curaçao

Pietermaai District sits just east of the Pontjesbrug floating bridge, a 5-minute walk from Fort Amsterdam and the Queen Emma Bridge. Landhuizen-turned-boutique-hotels line Pietermaaiweg, and Penstraat hosts the best rum bars on the island. You can walk to the Punda waterfront's Handelskade in 10 minutes, the floating market in 15. This is the only part of Curaçao where you genuinely don't need a car. Otrobanda across the bridge is quieter, with Riffort Village's waterfront restaurants. Rooms fill fast in high season.
