The Kawuneeche Valley opens up immediately inside the west side, wide and forested, a very different feel from the dramatic east. Trail Ridge Road connects this side to Estes Park over 48 miles and roughly 2 hours of driving in summer. Western entrance vehicle lines are consistently shorter than Estes Park all season.
