And skip any hotel that can't confirm their heating situation before you book.

Cerro Rico mine tours are the main attraction and every hotel in Centro Histórico can book them. But not all tours are equal. Taxi fares in Potosi are not metered. Agree on the price before you get in. From the Terminal de Buses to any Centro Histórico hotel, 25 bolivianos is fair; if someone quotes 50, walk to the next taxi.
