El Sunzal sits 2 km west of El Tunco along the CA-2, and the vibe shifts noticeably. Fewer bars, fewer vendors, and a point break that surfers actually travel internationally to ride. Hotel Roca Sunzal is perched above the rocks at Playa El Sunzal with unobstructed Pacific views.

Stay here if you want to be in the center of things and walk everywhere. If you need quiet nights, push to El Sunzal or El Zonte instead. The noise from La Bocana bar carries further than you'd expect.
