Karachi in summer: what nobody tells you before you book
June through September is brutal. Temperatures hit 35-42°C and humidity off the Arabian Sea makes it feel worse. Power backup becomes non-negotiable, not a nice-to-have. If you're visiting in this window, only book hotels with confirmed industrial generator coverage. That means Club Road, Abdullah Haroon Road, or Fatima Jinnah Road properties.
The upside? Prices drop 25-35% compared to peak season. Pearl Continental and Avari Towers both run summer promotions that bring rates to $190-260/night instead of $250-380/night. And Karachi's indoor food scene along Zamzama Boulevard doesn't care what the thermometer says.
