The whole walkable core, from the Funicamp gondola base to the far end of Carrer de les Abelletes, is maybe 15 minutes end to end. That means location matters a lot: a hotel that's 'in town' could still be a cold uphill trudge from the main lifts.
Book anything on the Ski Area side of town if lift access is your priority. Town Centre hotels are fine for shopping trips and cheaper stays, but the slope-side walk adds up fast over a week. And don't get distracted by duty-free prices on arrival. sort your room first, shop later.
