Nên ở đâu tại Lithuania
Khu vực bạn chọn quan trọng hơn bản thân khách sạn.
Vilnius Old Town: where to stay and what to skip
The streets between Cathedral Square and Aušros Vartų gatvė are the sweet spot. You're close to Gediminas Castle Tower, the Bernardine Garden, and the best restaurants on Stiklių gatvė, without being right on the main tourist drag where noise goes until 2am on weekends.
Avoid anything listed as 'Old Town' that's actually on Geležinkelio gatvė near the train station. That's a 25-minute walk from real Old Town, and the streets aren't pleasant at night. Pay attention to the map, not just the description.
Lithuania's Baltic coast: Palanga vs. Klaipeda
Palanga is the beach town. Basanavičiaus gatvė is the main strip and it's lively in summer, with the Amber Museum in Birutė Park worth an afternoon. Hotel prices spike hard in July, so if you're going in peak season, book 6 weeks out minimum.
Klaipeda is more of a city with a port. It's your gateway to the Curonian Spit via the ferry at Pilies gatvė pier, and the Old Town around Teatro aikštė has more personality than most people expect. Stay in Klaipeda if you want the Spit without the Palanga crowds.
Druskininkai: Lithuania's spa town, explained honestly
Druskininkai is 130km south of Vilnius near the Belarus border and it genuinely smells like mineral water. The Spa District along Kudirkos gatvė is where the serious wellness hotels cluster, and they're not just wellness-washing. The mineral springs are real, the treatments are legit, and the forest walks along the Nemunas River make it feel like a proper retreat.
Don't come here for nightlife or great restaurants. Come for 2-3 nights, switch your phone off, and actually use the spa facilities. The town closes down early and that's the whole point.
Getting around Lithuania: trains, buses, and when to drive
Vilnius to Kaunas by train takes 1 hour 20 minutes and costs about €7-10. Vilnius to Klaipeda is 3 hours by bus or train via Kaunas. But Trakai, Druskininkai, and the Curonian Spit really need a car. public transport gets you there, just slowly.
Bolt (the ride-hailing app) works well in Vilnius and Kaunas. A cross-city Vilnius ride is €5-8. Taxis from the street outside the train station will charge 2x that. Download Bolt before you land.
Luxury in Lithuania: it exists, and it's worth it
Hotel Pacai on Didžioji gatvė in Vilnius Old Town is a restored 17th-century palace, and it shows. The courtyard alone is worth the $160-320/night price. Pažaislis Monastery Hotel outside Kaunas is even more dramatic, a working monastery complex on the shore of Kaunas Reservoir, with rooms running $260-420/night.
Grand Hotel Klaipeda at $275-450/night is the best hotel in the Baltics outside Tallinn and Riga. These aren't just expensive rooms. They're genuinely different experiences, and we'd book any of the three without hesitation.
Budget Lithuania: how to do it without staying somewhere grim
Litinterp Vilnius Guest House on Bernardinų gatvė is the gold standard for budget Old Town accommodation. You're 8 minutes walk from Gediminas Castle Tower and 5 minutes from the best coffee on Užupio gatvė. At $45-75/night in the Old Town, it's a genuine steal.
Klaipeda Travellers Hostel in the Old Town runs $55-85/night and puts you close to the ferry to the Curonian Spit. We've seen people spend $150/night in the wrong Vilnius 'Old Town' hotel and get less for their money. Research the location, not just the rating.

Khu vực khách sạn tốt nhất của Lithuania
Start in Vilnius. The Old Town is one of the best-preserved Baroque districts in northern Europe, and it's where most of the genuinely good hotels are. Klaipeda is worth it if you're heading to the Curonian Spit, and Druskininkai earns its reputation as a spa town. but skip the generic resort strips and book smart.

Vilnius Old Town is compact and walkable. The best hotels sit between Cathedral Square and Aušros Vartų gatvė. anything in that zone puts you 10 minutes or less from the main sights on foot. Hotel Pacai on Didžioji gatvė is the standout luxury option, and Litinterp Guest House on Bernardinų gatvė is the best budget pick in the city.
The Radisson Blu Royal Astorija on Didzioji gatvė is the business traveler default. reliable, central, and consistently good. If you need a meeting room and reliable WiFi in the Old Town, this is your call. Užupis, the bohemian district across the Vilnelė river, is worth exploring but slightly less convenient for first-timers.
Avoid the cluster of budget hotels near Vilnius Bus Station on Sodų gatvė. They're far from everything, loud, and don't save you enough money to justify the tradeoff. The Old Town price premium is worth it here.

Kaunas City Center sits along Laisvės alėja, a 1.6km pedestrian boulevard lined with cafes and galleries. The Kaunas Hotel is right in the middle of it, making it the best-located mid-range option in the city at $105-170/night. You're 5 minutes walk from Kaunas Old Town and 10 minutes from the confluence of the Neris and Nemunas rivers.
Pažaislis Monastery Hotel is the wild card. It's a 17th-century baroque monastery on the shore of Kaunas Reservoir, about 10km east of the city center. At $260-420/night it's not cheap, but there's genuinely nothing else like it in Lithuania. You need a car or taxi to get there. budget about €15 from the city center.
Kaunas is underrated as a base. It's central to the whole country, has a strong cafe culture on Vilniaus gatvė, and the interwar modernist architecture on Laisvės alėja is worth exploring properly. Don't just pass through.

Klaipeda's Old Town around Teatro aikštė is genuine. The half-timbered German-era buildings on Tiltų gatvė give it a different character from Vilnius or Kaunas. Grand Hotel Klaipeda is the top option here at $275-450/night, and Klaipeda Travellers Hostel in the Old Town covers the budget end at $55-85/night. The gap between them is big, but both earn their spots.
Palanga is 25km north of Klaipeda and is Lithuania's main beach resort. Basanavičiaus gatvė is the lively pedestrian strip, and Palanga Hotel in the Beach Area runs $115-195/night. Summer here is genuinely fun, packed with Lithuanian families and increasingly international visitors. Book early for July.
The Curonian Spit is a UNESCO-listed sand dune peninsula and one of the most beautiful places in the Baltics. You need the ferry from Klaipeda's Pilies pier to reach it. Day trips work, but an overnight at one of the Nida guesthouses changes the experience completely.

Druskininkai is a legitimate spa destination. The mineral springs have been drawing visitors since the 19th century, and the Spa District along Kudirkos gatvė still has that quiet, purposeful atmosphere. Druskininkai Spa Hotel Egle Comfort at $120-200/night is solid value for what's included, and the forest setting along the Nemunas bank makes it feel like proper escapism.
The town is small and easy to navigate on foot. Everything worth doing is within a 15-minute walk from the main spa strip. Grūtas Park, a strange and fascinating Soviet sculpture park, is 8km from town and worth an afternoon if you have a car.
Come here to genuinely decompress. Don't come expecting Vilnius nightlife or a wide restaurant scene. The best meal in town is probably at Kolonada on Kudirkos gatvė. Two nights is the right amount of time.

Trakai is one of those places that earns its postcard reputation. The Island Castle sits on Lake Galvė and the views from the lakeside path are genuinely striking. Trakai Island Castle Hotel at $130-210/night is the only proper hotel option here. it's lakeside, quiet after 5pm when the day-trippers clear out, and 3 minutes walk to the castle entrance.
The train from Vilnius Central Station takes 30 minutes and costs about €2. But most day-trippers are back on the train by 4pm. Staying overnight means you get the castle views in the morning mist with nobody else around, which is worth the extra cost.
Eat kibinai, the Karaite pastry that Trakai is famous for, at one of the wooden restaurants on Karaimų gatvė. It's the most specific food experience in Lithuania and you can only get it here.

Romantic Stay
Druskininkai Spa District is the call. Forest walks along the Nemunas, mineral water treatments for two, and zero distractions. Druskininkai Spa Hotel Egle Comfort delivers a proper retreat at $120-200/night.
Culture & History
Vilnius Old Town between Cathedral Square and Aušros Vartų gatvė is Lithuania's cultural core. Hotel Pacai sits inside a 17th-century baroque palace on Didžioji gatvė, and the UNESCO-listed Old Town is literally outside your door.
Family Trip
Trakai lakeside is perfect for families: a fairy-tale island castle, kayak rentals on Lake Galvė, and a short 30-minute train from Vilnius. Kids love it, and the castle tour takes about 90 minutes.
Budget Travel
Vilnius Old Town has genuinely good budget options. Litinterp Guest House on Bernardinų gatvė runs $45-75/night and puts you 10 minutes walk from everything worth seeing. This is not a compromise pick.
Beach & Coast
Palanga's Beach Area is Lithuania's summer playground. Basanavičiaus gatvė leads straight to the pier and the Baltic, and Palanga Hotel at $115-195/night sits close enough that you won't waste 20 minutes walking to the water every morning.
Foodie Scene
Vilnius Old Town's Stiklių gatvė and the surrounding streets have the best restaurant concentration in the country. Base yourself at Radisson Blu Royal Astorija on Didzioji gatvė and you're 5 minutes walk from everything from upscale Lithuanian cuisine to Georgian khinkali.
Cách chúng tôi đánh giá những khách sạn này
Mỗi khách sạn trong danh sách này đều trải qua cùng một quy trình đánh giá. Đây là cách chúng tôi chấm điểm.
We reviewed 2,000+ options across the main regions of Lithuania. What we cut: Soviet-era hotels still charging 2024 prices for 1990s bathrooms, 'beachfront' Palanga properties that are actually 15 minutes from the water, Old Town Vilnius hostels with paper-thin walls and no soundproofing from the Pilies Street foot traffic, and spa hotels in Druskininkai where the wellness center is perpetually under renovation. What made the cut: places with honest locations, real guest feedback, and something worth the price.
Summer (June-August)
July is peak everything: Palanga beach is packed, Klaipeda Sea Festival draws 100,000+ visitors in late July, and Vilnius fills up fast. Hotel prices jump 30-40% compared to spring. Book Palanga Hotel and Grand Hotel Klaipeda at least 6-8 weeks ahead, or you'll be paying premium rates for whatever's left.
Spring (April-May)
This is the sweet spot for Vilnius. The Kaziukas Craft Fair on Cathedral Square in early March marks the start of the season, and by May the Bernardine Garden is in bloom and the Old Town terraces are open. Prices are 20-30% lower than summer, and you get the city largely to yourself.
Autumn (September-October)
September is genuinely great for Lithuania travel. The Baltic coast is quieter but still accessible, forest colors around Druskininkai and Aukštaitija National Park are spectacular, and prices drop sharply after the August crowds leave. Vilnius Jazz Festival in October is the cultural highlight of the autumn calendar.
Winter (November-March)
Cold and dark, with temperatures dropping to -10°C or below in January. But Vilnius Christmas Market on Cathedral Square (late November through January 1) is one of the best in the Baltics, and hotel prices hit their floor. Litinterp Guest House drops toward $45/night and even Hotel Pacai offers off-season rates worth checking.
Cách đặt khách sạn tại Lithuania
Chiến lược đặt phòng thông minh cho Lithuania.
Book Palanga at least 6 weeks ahead for July
Palanga has a fixed number of decent hotels and Lithuanian summer demand is intense. Palanga Hotel fills up in July with barely any availability left 3 weeks out. The Kaziukas weekend in Vilnius (early March) has the same problem. These are predictable crunches. plan around them or pay a lot more.
Use Bolt, not street taxis
Bolt (the Estonian ride-hailing app) operates across Vilnius, Kaunas, and Klaipeda. A Vilnius airport to Old Town ride runs €8-12 on Bolt. The same ride in a street taxi outside arrivals regularly costs €20-25. Download Bolt before you land at Vilnius Airport. it takes 3 minutes to set up and saves you money every day.
Don't confuse Kaunas districts when booking
Several Kaunas hotels market themselves as 'City Center' when they're actually south of the train station, a 20-minute walk from Laisvės alėja. The real center is around Laisvės alėja and Vilniaus gatvė. Kaunas Hotel sits right on this axis. Check the map pin, not just the neighborhood label.
The Curonian Spit needs an overnight, not a day trip
Most people take the 10-minute ferry from Klaipeda's Pilies pier to the Curonian Spit, walk around Nida for 3 hours, and leave. The Spit at sunset and sunrise is a completely different place. Factor in at least one night in Nida. guesthouses run $60-120/night and they book out in July.
Luxury hotels here are genuinely different buildings
Hotel Pacai is a 17th-century baroque palace. Pažaislis Monastery Hotel is an actual working monastery. Trakai Island Castle Hotel sits on a lake with castle views. These aren't just expensive rooms with nice linens. If you're going to spend $200+/night in Lithuania, spend it here rather than on an international chain that could be anywhere.
Vilnius Old Town noise: ask for a courtyard room
Pilies gatvė and the streets directly off Cathedral Square can be very loud on Friday and Saturday nights. street performers, bar crowds, and bachelor parties from 10pm until 2am. Most Old Town hotels have quieter courtyard-facing rooms. Ask specifically for a courtyard or rear-facing room when booking. The difference is dramatic.
Câu hỏi thường gặp về khách sạn tại Lithuania
Câu trả lời thẳng thắn từ đội ngũ của chúng tôi.
What's the best area to stay in Vilnius?
Vilnius Old Town, specifically the streets around Pilies gatvė and Stiklių gatvė, is where you want to be. You're within 10 minutes walk of Gediminas Castle Tower, Cathedral Square, and the Gates of Dawn. Užupis is artsy and walkable too, right across the Vilnelė river, but Old Town puts you closer to everything.
How much do hotels in Lithuania cost per night?
Budget options in Vilnius Old Town start around $45-75/night. Mid-range gets you $105-200/night, which covers Kaunas City Center and the Palanga beach area. Luxury in Lithuania means $260-450/night, and places like Pažaislis Monastery Hotel and Grand Hotel Klaipeda genuinely justify the price.
When is the best time to visit Lithuania?
June through August is peak season, with temperatures hitting 20-25°C and the Baltic coast fully open. But late May and September are quieter, cheaper by 20-30%, and still warm enough to enjoy Palanga beach or the Curonian Spit. Winter is brutal below -10°C, but Vilnius Christmas market on Cathedral Square is genuinely worth it.
Is Klaipeda worth staying in, or just a day trip from Vilnius?
Klaipeda deserves at least 2 nights. The Old Town around Teatro aikštė and the half-timbered streets off Tiltų gatvė are charming, and you need to base yourself here for the Curonian Spit ferry. Grand Hotel Klaipeda is steps from the ferry terminal, which matters when you're catching the morning crossing.
Are there good spa hotels in Lithuania?
Druskininkai is Lithuania's dedicated spa town, about 130km south of Vilnius. Druskininkai Spa Hotel Egle Comfort on the Spa District strip runs $120-200/night and includes full mineral water treatments. It's the real deal, not a hotel with a sauna bolted on.
What's the cheapest area to stay in Lithuania?
Litinterp Vilnius Guest House in the Old Town runs $45-75/night, which is remarkable given the location near Bernardinų gatvė. Outside Vilnius, Klaipeda Travellers Hostel in the Old Town offers $55-85/night. Both are genuinely good value, not just cheap.
How do I get from Vilnius Airport to the Old Town?
Bus No. 1 runs from Vilnius Airport directly to the city center for about €1. A taxi or Bolt ride is 15-20 minutes and costs €8-12 depending on traffic. The Old Town hotels on Aušros Vartų gatvė are about a 3-minute walk from the bus stop at the Gates of Dawn.
Is Trakai worth staying overnight, or is it a day trip?
Most people do Trakai as a 30-minute train ride from Vilnius, which is fine. But staying overnight at the lakeside is a completely different experience. Trakai Island Castle Hotel sits on Lake Galvė, and once the day-trippers leave after 5pm, it's genuinely peaceful.
What neighborhoods should I avoid in Vilnius?
The area around Vilnius Bus Station on Sodų gatvė has a cluster of budget hotels that look fine online but are loud, grimy, and a 25-minute walk from anything worth seeing. Naujamiestis can work, but stick to the northern end near Gedimino prospektas, not the southern blocks near the train tracks.
Is Kaunas a good base for exploring Lithuania?
Kaunas sits at the geographic center of Lithuania, making it a solid base. The Kaunas Hotel in City Center puts you 5 minutes walk from Laisvės alėja, the longest pedestrian boulevard in the Baltics. It's 100km from Vilnius, 100km from Klaipeda, and 130km from Druskininkai. drives that take 90 minutes at most.
When do hotel prices spike in Lithuania?
Vilnius peaks during the Kaziukas Fair in early March, the Jazz Festival in April, and the whole of July-August when the city fills up. Palanga hotel prices double in July, with $115-195/night properties booking out 6-8 weeks ahead. Book Klaipeda early for the Sea Festival in late July.
Do Lithuania hotels include breakfast?
It varies. Budget places like Litinterp Guest House and Klaipeda Travellers Hostel typically don't include breakfast, but there's always a cafe within 5 minutes walk. Mid-range and luxury hotels usually bundle it in. Hotel Pacai in Vilnius serves breakfast in a 17th-century baroque courtyard, which is worth the premium alone.
