City Centre and Dalriach put you 5-15 minutes walk from everything urban: Swazi Plaza, the main market on Msunduza Road, and the cluster of restaurants near Allister Miller Street. It's the right call for a short trip, business visit, or anyone who hates relying on transport.
The Ezulwini Valley is 10-15km south of the city, which sounds close until you've hit afternoon traffic on the MR3 heading back. Base yourself there if you're staying 4+ nights and culture or wildlife is the priority. The Glen Hotel and Mantenga Lodge sit right on the valley road, so you're walking to cultural villages and nature reserves rather than driving to them.
How to get around Mbabane without a car
Kombis (minibus taxis) cover most major routes for $0.50-1 per trip and run from the main rank near Swazi Plaza until about 6pm. After that, private taxis are your only option. budget $3-8 per trip within the city, and $10-15 to reach Ezulwini Valley hotels from Dalriach.
