Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to an accessible experience for all users.
Last updated: March 2025
Our Commitment
HotelsVetted, operated by Puffer AB, is committed to making our website accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Measures We Take
We take the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML structure throughout the site
- Sufficient color contrast ratios for text and interactive elements
- Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
- Alt text for all informative images
- ARIA labels where appropriate to support screen readers
- Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
- Consistent navigation across pages
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge that some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Known areas of ongoing improvement include:
- Interactive maps: Our destination maps use the Leaflet library. While we provide text-based location information alongside all maps, the maps themselves may not be fully screen-reader accessible. We are working to improve this.
- Third-party content: Some content from Booking.com and other third parties linked from our site may not meet our accessibility standards. We have no control over the accessibility of third-party platforms.
Technical Specifications
Our site relies on the following technologies for conformance:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript (ES2020+)
- WAI-ARIA 1.1
Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility
HotelsVetted is designed to work with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Browser zoom up to 200%
- Keyboard-only navigation
- High contrast mode
