HotelsVetted is an independent hotel recommendation service. We research destinations around the world and curate a shortlist of 10 hotels per destination — covering different price tiers and neighborhoods. Our goal is to help you find the right area to stay, not just the right property.

HotelsVetted is a service by Puffer AB, a company registered in Stockholm, Sweden (org.nr 556850-9144). We're a small, independent team — no investors, no advertising revenue, no conflict of interest beyond our disclosed affiliate relationships.

We currently cover over 1,200 destinations across more than 100 countries — spanning cities, beach resorts, cultural hubs, and regional towns. We're continuously expanding our coverage.

We review and update destination pages on a rolling basis. Hotel quality changes, neighborhoods evolve, and listings close — we aim to catch these as quickly as possible. If you spot something outdated, let us know and we'll prioritize that destination.

Every hotel goes through our editorial vetting process: minimum rating of 8.0, at least 50 verified reviews, active listing, and a clean recent review history. We also heavily weight location — where a hotel sits within a destination matters as much as the property itself.

No. Hotels cannot buy placement on HotelsVetted. We do not accept payment for recommendations, sponsored listings, or "featured" positions. Every hotel on our site is there because it passed our editorial process — not because it paid us.

Choice paralysis is real. When a travel site shows you 400 hotels, decision-making becomes exhausting. We deliberately limit ourselves to 10 carefully vetted options at different price points. Less scrolling, better decisions.

We're sorry to hear that. Hotel quality can change — new management, renovations, staffing issues. If a hotel no longer meets our standards, it shouldn't be on our site. Please contact us with details and we'll investigate and update the listing if necessary.

Our pages are tagged by travel style (romantic, family-friendly, budget, design, etc.) so you can find what fits. For very specific requests, feel free to reach out — we'll do our best to point you in the right direction.

No — we're a recommendation and review site, not a booking platform. When you click the booking button, you're taken to the hotel's listing on our partner platform where you complete the reservation. All booking terms, cancellation policies and payment handling are managed by the platform.

The prices shown on our pages are indicative starting prices based on typical nightly rates. Actual prices vary with seasonality, availability, and room type. Always check the current price directly on the booking platform before making a decision.

Our prices are reference points, not live pricing. Prices on booking platforms change dynamically based on dates, demand, and available inventory. The price you see at time of booking is the authoritative price.

Yes. We participate in an affiliate program. When you click through our booking links and complete a reservation, we earn a commission from our booking partner. This commission comes from the platform, not from you — you pay the same price regardless of whether you arrive via HotelsVetted or go directly.

Our partner platform offers the broadest global coverage, the largest pool of verified guest reviews, and a reliable booking infrastructure. We use it because it provides the best experience for travelers completing their reservations.

No. HotelsVetted requires no registration, no account, and no personal information to use. You browse freely, no login required.
