The best hotels in Fish River Canyon

Picking a hotel here is harder than it looks. The canyon is massive, the distances between lodges are brutal, and a bad location choice costs you hours of driving on gravel roads. We reviewed the standouts across Hobas, Gondwana Canyon Park, and Ai-Ais. These 10 made the cut.

Canyon Roadhouse

Fish River Canyon Entrance, Hobas $55–85/night 7.8/10

Canyon Roadhouse sits right at the main entrance to Fish River Canyon, making it the most convenient base for early morning hikes. The vintage vehicle collection on the grounds is a quirky and genuinely interesting touch. Rooms are basic rondavels with decent beds and functional bathrooms. The restaurant serves hearty Namibian meals at fair prices. It is not fancy, but it does exactly what you need it to do out here.

#2

Hobas Campsite and Chalets

Fish River Canyon National Park, Hobas $45–75/night 7.2/10

This NamibRand-managed facility is the closest accommodation to the main canyon viewpoints and is run by Namibia Wildlife Resorts. The chalets are simple and clean, with shared ablution facilities for the camping spots nearby. You can walk to the main viewpoint in under ten minutes, which is the real selling point. Facilities are basic but maintained, and the price is hard to argue with in such a remote location. Bring your own food supplies as the shop has limited stock.

#4

Canyon Village

Southern Namibia, Gondwana Canyon Park $145–210/night 8.5/10

It sits within the same Gondwana private reserve as Fish River Lodge but at a more accessible price point. The pool area is a genuine relief after dusty drives through the Karas region. Rooms are spacious and well-furnished with good air conditioning, which matters enormously in summer. The restaurant food is consistent and the portions are generous.

#5

Ai-Ais Hot Springs Resort

Southern End of Fish River Canyon, Ai-Ais $110–165/night 7.9/10

Ai-Ais sits at the southern terminus of the famous Fish River Canyon hiking trail and is the reward hikers look forward to after five days on the trail. The natural hot spring pools are the main attraction and are open to both guests and day visitors. Rooms range from standard chalets to larger family units and all are clean but dated in decor. The location inside the national park is remarkable, surrounded by dramatic rock formations along the Orange River valley. Book ahead as it fills quickly during the May to September hiking season.

#6

Canyon Lapa Lodge

Karas Region, Grünau $120–170/night 8/10

Canyon Lapa Lodge is located near Grünau town and works well as a stopover between Keetmanshoop and the canyon. The bungalows are set around a large shaded garden with a swimming pool that is especially appreciated on the long drive south. The owners are hands-on and knowledgeable about road conditions and canyon visit logistics. Breakfast is included and is a proper sit-down affair with good coffee and fresh bread. It is a practical and comfortable choice rather than a destination lodge.

Desert Homestead and Horse Trails hotel interior
#7

Desert Homestead and Horse Trails

Hardap Region, Maltahöhe $155–220/night 8.6/10

Desert Homestead sits in the Naukluft foothills near Maltahöhe and is roughly two hours north of Fish River Canyon, making it a solid addition to a canyon circuit route. The horse riding trails through the desert landscape are the standout activity and are led by experienced guides. Chalets are individually decorated with local art and have genuine character. Sunsets from the communal deck are spectacular and the atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried. Meals are served family-style which encourages good conversation among guests.

Keetmanshoop Airport Lodge hotel interior
#8

Keetmanshoop Airport Lodge

Central Keetmanshoop, Keetmanshoop $100–140/night 7.5/10

This lodge in Keetmanshoop serves as the practical gateway city for Fish River Canyon, located about 130 kilometers to the north of the canyon entrance. Rooms are straightforward and well-maintained with reliable wifi and secure parking. The staff are efficient and can arrange fuel, supplies, and route advice for the canyon drive. It is not a destination in itself but it is clean, reliable, and competitively priced for the region. The quiver tree forest nearby is worth a morning visit before heading south.

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch hotel interior
#9

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch

Hardap Region, Mariental $280–390/night 9/10

Bagatelle sits in the Kalahari sandveld north of Mariental and works as a premium base for those doing a southern Namibia loop that includes Fish River Canyon. The lodge has elegantly appointed chalets with private plunge pools and the game drives feature cheetah and other Kalahari species. The food quality is genuinely excellent with a well-considered wine selection to match. Service is attentive without being overly formal, which suits the remote bush setting perfectly. It is a proper luxury property in a part of Namibia where that is rare.

It is the most exclusive and experiential way to visit this part of Namibia.

Where to Stay in Fish River Canyon

The neighborhood you pick matters more than the hotel.

Hobas vs Gondwana Canyon Park: Which base is right for you?

Hobas sits right at the NWR-managed entrance on the C37, about 8 km from the main canyon rim viewpoint. It's the practical choice for hikers who need early access to the Hikers' Viewpoint and want to keep costs under $85/night. The trade-off is basic facilities and zero atmosphere after sunset.

Gondwana Canyon Park is a private concession that starts about 20 km north of Hobas on the D601 and delivers a totally different experience. Lodges here cost $145-520/night, but the guides, sunset drives, and exclusive rim access justify the gap. If you're spending serious money to fly to Namibia, don't cheap out on your base and spend two days staring at a gravel car park.

The Fish River Canyon hiking trail: what no one tells you

The 85 km trail from Hikers' Viewpoint near Hobas to Ai-Ais runs entirely through the canyon floor, and the first 25 km is the hardest. Deep soft sand between Sulphur Springs and the first river crossings will slow a fit group to 2-3 km per hour. Most first-timers underpack water and overpack food.

You need your NWR permit booked at the Hobas office and a medical certificate from a doctor, issued within 40 days of your start date. The trail is only open May-September. Start your permit booking at least 3 months out, and book Ai-Ais Hot Springs Resort for your final night the same day. That end-point bed sells out before the trail permits do.

Driving the canyon roads: a real guide

The C37 between Grünau and Hobas is the main artery and stays mostly manageable in a sedan, though corrugations build up badly by mid-season. The D601 through Gondwana Canyon Park is better maintained because the lodges pressure the local authority. The D316 south toward Ai-Ais is roughest and genuinely needs high clearance after rain.

Fuel up in Grünau on the B1 or at the garage in Keetmanshoop before heading west. There is no fuel at Hobas, no fuel in Gondwana Canyon Park, and no fuel at Ai-Ais. We've seen this mistake dozens of times. Carry an extra 20 litres if you're doing the full loop.

Budget travel at Fish River Canyon: the honest version

Hobas Campsite and Chalets is the budget anchor, starting at $45/night and managed by NWR right inside the park boundary. Canyon Roadhouse on the C37 just outside Hobas adds character with its vintage vehicle theme and runs $55-85/night with a decent bar. These two are genuinely the only budget options within reasonable striking distance of the viewpoints.

Don't try to base yourself in Keetmanshoop to save money. You're looking at a 2.5-hour round trip to the canyon rim, burning fuel and time. The savings disappear fast. Pay a bit more and stay in Hobas.

Stargazing at Fish River Canyon: where and when

The Karas Region sits well outside any light pollution, and Fish River Canyon specifically has some of the darkest skies in southern Africa. Gondwana Canyon Park lodges like Fish River Lodge run dedicated stargazing programs from their canyon-rim decks, usually 9-11 pm after dinner. The Milky Way core is visible May-September with virtually no equipment needed.

For the best experience, book a room at Fish River Canyon Luxury Tented Camp on the canyon rim private concession. Your tent platform faces east directly over the canyon. Set your alarm for 4:30 am and watch the stars fade above the canyon walls before anyone else is awake. That's worth $350/night to a lot of people.

Fish River Canyon for non-hikers: you still have options

The main viewpoints along the D601 are fully accessible by car, and the platforms at the primary lookout near Hobas require zero hiking. Hell's Bend and Four Finger Rock are both driveable viewpoints that give you deep canyon perspectives without a single steep step. Gondwana Canyon Park also runs guided sunset drives that cover sections of the rim most self-drivers miss.

Ai-Ais Hot Springs Resort at the southern end is a genuine draw for non-hikers. The outdoor thermal pools hover around 43°C and the setting, below towering canyon walls, is surreal. It's 80+ km from Hobas on rough roads, so plan it as an overnight, not a day trip.

Fish River Canyon's best neighborhoods

Gondwana Canyon Park is where we'd stay first. It puts you closest to the main viewpoints with the best lodge quality. Hobas works if you're on a tight budget or need NWR campsite access, but don't expect much atmosphere.

Gondwana Canyon Park 3 vetted hotels

Private concession, canyon-rim access, and the best lodges in the area.

Gondwana Canyon Park is a 1,000 km² private nature reserve abutting the eastern side of Fish River Canyon. The D601 runs through it and connects to the main NWR viewpoints within 15-20 minutes. This is the most polished, most convenient base in the whole region.

Fish River Lodge sits on the canyon rim itself and rates 9.1 for good reason. Canyon Village offers a more social mid-range option at $145-210/night with chalets spread across a rocky plateau. And then there's Fish River Canyon Luxury Tented Camp, perched on a private rim concession with nothing between your tent and a 550-metre drop.

Prices here are non-negotiable. You're paying $145-520/night because the access, the guiding, and the infrastructure are all private and well-run. But if you're visiting Fish River Canyon for the first time and only have 2-3 nights, spend them here.

Best areas Canyon Rim Concession, D601 Corridor
Price range $145-520/night
Best for Honeymooners, luxury travelers, first-time visitors
Avoid Booking too late. rim camps sell out 3-5 months ahead
Best months May-September
Hobas and Canyon Entrance 2 vetted hotels

No-frills, practical, and the closest you'll get to the canyon on a budget.

Hobas is the gateway town for NWR's Fish River Canyon, sitting 8 km from the main rim viewpoint on the C37. It's a functional base, not a beautiful one. The NWR rest camp, the small reception office, and a handful of nearby lodges are really all there is.

Canyon Roadhouse on the C37 just before Hobas is the pick of the two options here. The vintage vehicle and petrol-pump decor sounds gimmicky but actually works, and the bar is genuinely lively in peak season. Hobas Campsite and Chalets is the NWR-run option inside the park boundary, with chalets from $45/night and basic camping.

If you're hiking the trail, you'll check in here regardless. NWR processes your permit at the Hobas office and you start from Hikers' Viewpoint, about 12 km from the camp. Time your arrival for late afternoon to skip the worst heat.

Best areas Hobas Village, C37 Roadside
Price range $45-85/night
Best for Budget travelers, trail hikers, road trippers
Avoid Expecting restaurants or shops. stock up in Keetmanshoop
Best months May-September
Ai-Ais and the Southern Canyon 1 vetted hotel

Thermal springs, canyon walls, and the end point of the great hike.

Ai-Ais sits at the southern end of Fish River Canyon, roughly 80 km from Hobas on the D316. It's where the 85 km hiking trail terminates, and the hot spring pools are legitimately one of the best post-hike rewards on the continent. NWR runs the resort here and it shows: it's functional, cleanly maintained, and not trying to be something it isn't.

The pools run around 43°C and are fed by sulphuric springs that bubble up just metres from the main soaking area. Canyon walls rise directly above the resort on three sides. In the evening light it's dramatic in a way that photos don't quite capture.

Note the seasonal closure. Ai-Ais shuts from roughly late October to early March because of flash flood risk in the lower canyon. Hikers finishing the trail outside that window will find the gates closed. Double-check NWR's exact seasonal dates before you plan around it.

Best areas Ai-Ais Resort Grounds, D316 Southern End
Price range $110-165/night
Best for Post-hike recovery, couples, hot spring seekers
Avoid Visiting October-March (resort closes)
Best months May-September
Grünau and Karas Region Gateway 1 vetted hotel

B1 highway stopover with one genuinely good family lodge.

Grünau sits on the B1, about 70 km from Hobas. It's a road-trip waypoint more than a destination, with a fuel station, a small shop, and Canyon Lapa Lodge just outside town. Most people stop here the night before pushing to the canyon, and that's a perfectly valid use of it.

Canyon Lapa Lodge rates a solid 8.0 and handles families well, with a pool, spacious chalets, and a kitchen that's open for dinner when you arrive late. Rates run $120-170/night. It's not a canyon experience, but it's comfortable and positioned well for an early start.

Don't extend your stay here beyond one night unless you genuinely need a rest day. The canyon is 70 km west and the B1 north back to Keetmanshoop is faster than it looks on the map.

Best areas Grünau Village, B1 Corridor
Price range $120-170/night
Best for Families, road trippers, stopovers
Avoid Using it as a canyon base. 70 km each way adds up
Best months April-October
Keetmanshoop and Northern Gateway 1 vetted hotel

The practical overnight before or after the canyon drive.

Keetmanshoop is the nearest proper town to Fish River Canyon, about 170 km north of Hobas on the B1. It has fuel, supermarkets, a hospital, and Keetmanshoop Airport Lodge near the town centre. It's a utilitarian base, not a tourist destination, but it serves a real purpose.

Keetmanshoop Airport Lodge rates 7.5 and runs $100-140/night. It's aimed squarely at business travelers and overland drivers. But the Quivertree Forest and Giant's Playground are within 15 km of town and both are worth an hour of your time if you're passing through.

Stock up on food, water, and fuel here before heading to the canyon. There's nothing reliable between Keetmanshoop and Hobas on the C37. Keetmanshoop's Pick n Pay on Sixth Avenue is your last proper supermarket until you're back.

Best areas Central Keetmanshoop, Sixth Avenue
Price range $100-140/night
Best for Business travelers, transit stops, supply runs
Avoid Basing your canyon trip here. 170 km to Hobas is too far
Best months Year-round
Mariental and Hardap Region 2 vetted hotels

Kalahari game ranches for those who want more than just the canyon.

Mariental is about 370 km north of Hobas on the B1 and feels like a different Namibia entirely. This is Kalahari country: red dunes, camelthorn trees, and game ranches that run proper safari experiences. Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch and Desert Homestead are both within striking distance of Mariental.

Bagatelle is the luxury anchor here at $280-390/night, rating 9.0 with cheetah interactions and excellent guiding on a 10,000-hectare ranch. Desert Homestead and Horse Trails near Maltahöhe runs $155-220/night and specializes in riding through the desert landscape. It's one of the best horse trail experiences in southern Namibia.

Neither of these is a canyon lodge. They're night-extension options for travelers doing a broader Namibia road loop. Pair Bagatelle with 2 nights at Fish River Lodge and you've got a genuinely memorable 5-day itinerary.

Best areas Mariental Outskirts, Maltahöhe Plains
Price range $155-390/night
Best for Luxury safari, honeymooners, Kalahari explorers
Avoid Treating it as a canyon base. it's a separate experience
Best months April-October

Best Areas by Vibe

Tell us how you travel and we'll point you to the right part of Fish River Canyon.

Romantic

The Canyon Rim Private Concession in Gondwana Canyon Park is your answer. Private tent platforms over a 550-metre drop, zero other guests visible, and Milky Way skies that make everywhere else feel overlit.

Culture

Central Keetmanshoop has the Schützenhaus Museum and the 1895 Rhenish Mission Church on Mittel Street, both worth an hour before you drive south. It's one of the best-preserved colonial-era towns in the Karas Region.

Family

Grünau's Canyon Lapa Lodge handles kids well, with a pool, open grounds, and no canyon-edge hazards to worry about. It's 70 km from Hobas and works perfectly as a family road-trip base.

Budget

Hobas is the only real budget zone, with NWR chalets and Canyon Roadhouse both under $85/night and within 12 minutes of the main canyon viewpoint. Skip anything advertising 'canyon views' in Keetmanshoop. It's marketing, not geography.

Adventure

The Hikers' Viewpoint near Hobas is the start of one of Africa's most demanding multi-day trails. Base yourself at Hobas Campsite, start at dawn, and plan 4-5 days down to Ai-Ais through deep sand and river crossings.

Foodie

Fish River Lodge in Gondwana Canyon Park serves the best kitchen in the region, with a menu that leans into Namibian game and a wine list that punches above its remote location. Dinner under the canyon-rim stars at their open-air boma is the real deal.

40%

Location Quality

Is the neighborhood walkable? Are restaurants, shops, and attractions within 10 minutes on foot? How does it feel after dark? We evaluate safety, public transport access, and whether the area has genuine local character or just tourist traps. A hotel in the wrong neighborhood ruins a trip. That's why location carries the most weight.

30%

Value for Money

We compare what you pay against what you get. A €150 hotel with a great location, clean rooms, and helpful staff can outscore a €500 hotel with fancy amenities in a bad area. We factor in seasonal pricing, cancellation policies, and hidden costs like tourist tax and breakfast surcharges. The goal is finding the best ratio, not the lowest price.

30%

Guest Experience

We analyze thousands of verified guest reviews across multiple platforms, looking for patterns rather than individual complaints. Consistent praise for cleanliness, staff, and room quality counts. We also assess the intangibles: does the hotel have character? Would you recommend it to a friend? A soul-less chain hotel with perfect facilities still loses to a well-run boutique with personality.

When to Visit Fish River Canyon

When to visit Fish River Canyon and what to pay.

Budget Friendly

Hot Season (November-January)

Avg hotel: $55-180/nightCrowds: LowTemp: 30-45°C

The canyon floor regularly hits 40-45°C in December and January, and the hiking trail is closed completely by NWR from October through April. Ai-Ais also closes for flood risk from around late October. Budget lodges in Hobas drop to $45-55/night, but it's genuinely uncomfortable and most activities are limited to early-morning viewpoint visits only.

Warming Up

Cooling Down (February-March)

Avg hotel: $65-200/nightCrowds: Very LowTemp: 25-40°C

Late summer rains occasionally affect road conditions on the D316 and parts of the D601. Temperatures are still high at 30-40°C and the hiking trail stays closed. But lodge rates at Canyon Village drop to around $145/night and Gondwana Canyon Park is virtually empty. Good for photographers wanting dramatic light and zero tourists at the main viewpoints.

Booking Tips for Fish River Canyon

Insider tips for booking hotels in Fish River Canyon.

Book your NWR hiking permit and Ai-Ais accommodation simultaneously

The NWR hiking permit for the 85 km Fish River Canyon trail and a bed at Ai-Ais Hot Springs Resort at the southern end both sell out independently. Book them on the same day through NWR's Windhoek reservations office or online. Permits cost around $40-60 per person and require a valid medical certificate issued within 40 days of your start date. For June and July departures, start this process by February at the latest.

Fuel up in Grünau or Keetmanshoop. not both

There is no fuel between Grünau on the B1 and the lodges in Gondwana Canyon Park or Hobas. Keetmanshoop, 170 km north of Hobas, has two fuel stations near the B1 junction. Grünau, 70 km from Hobas, is your last stop heading west. Carry a spare 20-litre jerry can if you're doing the full loop via Ai-Ais and the D316. That road adds 80+ km of rough gravel.

Don't book Gondwana Canyon Park for one night only

The drives from Windhoek take 7-8 hours. Arriving exhausted at Fish River Lodge or Canyon Village for a single night and leaving at dawn wastes the experience and the money. Two nights minimum in Gondwana Canyon Park is the sensible call. You need one sunset drive, one morning viewpoint visit, and one night of proper stargazing to justify the trip.

Download offline maps before leaving Keetmanshoop

MTC signal drops out on large sections of the C37 west of Keetmanshoop and almost entirely on the D316 toward Ai-Ais. Google Maps offline won't help on unmarked farm tracks. Download the relevant sections on Maps.me before you leave Keetmanshoop's Sixth Avenue area, where signal is reliable. The D601 through Gondwana Canyon Park has patchy lodge-specific wifi, not mobile data.

Time your viewpoint visit for sunrise, not midday

The main Fish River Canyon viewpoints near Hobas face west and catch extraordinary golden-hour light at both ends of the day. Midday visits mean harsh light, washed-out photos, and temperatures that regularly exceed 30°C on the rim in summer. Stay at Canyon Roadhouse or Hobas Campsite for proximity: you're within 12 minutes of the rim and can be parked at the viewpoint before 6:30 am.

Check Ai-Ais closure dates before building your itinerary around it

Ai-Ais Hot Springs Resort closes from roughly late October to early March each year due to flood risk in the lower canyon. NWR's exact dates shift slightly season to season. If your trip ends at Ai-Ais after the 85 km hike, confirm the opening date with NWR Windhoek at least 3 months before departure. Arriving at a closed resort after a 5-day canyon hike is the kind of thing that ends friendships.

Hotels in Fish River Canyon — FAQ

Everything you need to know before booking hotels in Fish River Canyon.

Where should I actually stay near Fish River Canyon?

Gondwana Canyon Park puts you within 15 minutes of the main viewpoints and skips the dusty drive from Hobas each morning. If budget matters more than convenience, Hobas is 8 km from the canyon rim and has solid no-frills options from $45/night. Skip Keetmanshoop as a base unless you're arriving late by road or need an airport bed. The canyon is 655 km south of Windhoek, so your lodge location genuinely changes your daily experience.

What's the cheapest way to sleep near Fish River Canyon?

Hobas Campsite and Chalets in Hobas is your best shot at genuine budget accommodation, with options from $45/night inside NWR-managed land at the canyon entrance. Canyon Roadhouse on the C37 near Hobas runs $55-85/night and adds more personality than a basic campsite. Don't expect budget guesthouses in Gondwana Canyon Park. That area starts at $145/night and goes up fast.

How far is it between the main lodges and the canyon viewpoints?

From Gondwana Canyon Park, you're roughly 10-20 minutes by car to the main viewpoints along the D601. Hobas Campsite sits about 8 km from the primary rim lookout, which is around 12 minutes on gravel. Ai-Ais Hot Springs Resort at the southern end is over 80 km from the main northern viewpoints. Don't underestimate how long gravel roads take, especially in the afternoon heat.

When is the best time to visit Fish River Canyon?

May through September is the sweet spot. Temperatures drop to a manageable 15-25°C and the famous 5-day hiking trail is officially open. The hike runs roughly 85 km from Hikers' Viewpoint near Hobas down to Ai-Ais. Summer months (November-February) regularly hit 40°C+ in the canyon, the hike closes completely, and most lodges drop rates to compensate.

Is the Fish River Canyon hiking trail worth it?

Yes, but it's one of Africa's toughest multi-day hikes. The 85 km trail from the Hikers' Viewpoint near Hobas to Ai-Ais takes most groups 4-5 days through deep sand and rocky river bends. You need a medical certificate dated within 40 days of departure and a permit from NWR at Hobas. Book your permit and your Ai-Ais end-point accommodation at least 3-4 months ahead for the May-September window.

Do I need a 4x4 to reach the lodges?

Most lodges are reachable by standard sedan on gravel roads, but the C37 and D601 between Hobas and Gondwana Canyon Park can get corrugated and rough. A high-clearance vehicle helps a lot on the D316 toward Ai-Ais. Budget at least an extra 30 minutes travel time compared to paved-road estimates when driving the southern canyon roads.

Are the hot springs at Ai-Ais open year-round?

No. Ai-Ais Hot Springs Resort typically closes from around late October to early March due to flash flood risk in the lower canyon. The springs themselves are around 60°C at the source and are diluted in the resort pools. Confirm NWR's seasonal closure dates before booking, as they shift slightly year to year.

What's the best luxury option in the area?

Fish River Canyon Luxury Tented Camp on the Canyon Rim Private Concession in Gondwana Canyon Park rates 9.4 and runs $350-520/night. It sits on a private section of the rim with direct canyon views that no other lodge in the region matches. Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch near Mariental is the runner-up at $280-390/night, though it's more of a Kalahari safari experience than a canyon stay.

Which hotels are best for families with children?

Canyon Lapa Lodge near Grünau in the Karas Region is specifically rated as family-friendly and sits around 1.5 hours from the main viewpoints, making it a useful stopover if you're doing a road trip loop. Canyon Village in Gondwana Canyon Park at $145-210/night has more space and self-catering flexibility for families. Avoid the luxury tented camps with young kids as the open designs are designed for adults.

How do I get to Fish River Canyon from Windhoek?

It's roughly 655 km from Windhoek, around 7-8 hours by car on the B1 south to Grünau then the C37 west toward Hobas. There's no direct public bus to the canyon. Your real options are a hire car from Windhoek's Hosea Kutako International Airport or a guided tour. Budget $80-120 for fuel each way in a standard sedan.

Is there mobile phone signal near the canyon?

MTC has patchy coverage around Hobas and Gondwana Canyon Park lodge areas, but don't count on it inside the canyon or on remote trails. The Ai-Ais resort area has better signal than most. Download offline maps for the D601, D316, and C37 roads before you leave Keetmanshoop or Grünau.

What should I know about booking in peak season?

The May-September hiking window books out fast, especially for lodges in Gondwana Canyon Park. Fish River Lodge and Fish River Canyon Luxury Tented Camp typically sell out 3-5 months ahead for June and July. Book your NWR hiking permit and Ai-Ais accommodation on the same day you book your lodges. Waiting until January for a June trip is genuinely risky.
