Why These Hotels Made Our List
Every hotel earned its spot. Here's exactly why we picked each one.
Hostal Parque
Hostal Parque sits right on Vara de Rey, the main boulevard in Ibiza Town, which makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the old port and Dalt Vila. Rooms are basic and compact but kept clean, and the air conditioning works well in summer. The location compensates for the thin walls and dated bathroom fixtures. A solid no-frills base if you plan to spend most of your time outside. Book a room facing the boulevard for a bit more light.

Apartamentos Vibra Mogambo
Located just a few minutes walk from the Sant Antoni waterfront and the famous Sunset Strip, this apartment hotel offers good value for the area. Studio units come with a small kitchen, which helps cut costs if you cook some meals at home. The pool area gets crowded by midday in July and August. Staff are friendly and reasonably helpful with local recommendations. Good choice for younger travelers who want a cheap base near the west coast nightlife.
Check Availability
Hotel Anfora Ibiza
Hotel Anfora sits right on the Sant Antoni harbor promenade, giving most rooms a direct sea view over the bay. The sunset from the terrace here is genuinely impressive and one of the better free shows on the island. Rooms are mid-size with clean modern furnishings and decent bathrooms. The on-site restaurant is fine but overpriced given the competition nearby. A reliable pick for travelers who want a proper hotel feel without paying Ibiza Town prices.
Check Availability
Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel
Aguas de Ibiza is one of the better hotels on the quieter east coast, located directly beside the Santa Eulalia marina. The spa is genuinely good and a real reason to stay here, with a thalassotherapy pool and solid treatment menu. Rooms are spacious and well-designed, with natural tones and large windows overlooking the port. Santa Eulalia itself is calmer than Ibiza Town, making this ideal for couples or older travelers. Service is attentive without being intrusive.
Check Availability
El Hotel Pacha
El Hotel Pacha is directly connected to the legendary Pacha nightclub on the northern edge of Ibiza Town, making it the obvious choice for serious clubbers. Rooms are sleek and modern with a cool design aesthetic that matches the brand identity. The rooftop pool area is excellent and attracts a lively crowd during the day. Location-wise you are a short walk from the port and Dalt Vila. Sound insulation is adequate but light sleepers should be aware of the surrounding energy on club nights.
Check Availability
Boutique Hotel Tagomago
Hotel Tagomago is a small adults-only property perched on the hillside between Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia, with views toward the small island it is named after. The pool terrace is the highlight, calm and well-maintained with good sunbeds and no overcrowding. Rooms are individually decorated with a Mediterranean style that feels considered rather than generic. The hotel is quiet and removed from the main tourist strips, so a car or taxi is useful. Perfect for couples who want to decompress between beach days.
Check Availability
Invisa Hotel Club Cala Blanca
Cala de Sant Vicent is one of the more sheltered and family-friendly bays in the north of Ibiza, and this hotel sits right beside the beach. The Invisa Club Cala Blanca works well for families with younger children given the calm water and the range of activities on offer. Rooms are functional and sized reasonably well for families, though they are not particularly stylish. The all-inclusive option makes budgeting easier for a week-long stay. It is a long drive from the main nightlife areas, which is a feature not a problem for most guests here.
Check Availability
Cas Gasi
Cas Gasi is a restored finca in the rural heart of Ibiza, set among almond and olive trees about ten minutes from Santa Gertrudis village. It has only 12 rooms and suites, each decorated with antiques and quality linens in a way that feels genuinely personal. The garden and pool area are beautiful and extremely quiet. Breakfast uses produce from the estate garden and is one of the better hotel breakfasts on the island. This is a genuine escape from the beach crowds and club scene, best suited to couples or solo travelers who want peace.
Check Availability
Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza
Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza dominates the southern end of Playa d'en Bossa, the longest beach on the island and home to some of the biggest club venues including Ushuaia next door. The pool complex is enormous and genuinely impressive, with multiple zones, live DJs during the day, and a party atmosphere that runs from morning into the evening. Rooms are large and well-equipped with quality beds and good soundproofing. The beach access is direct and the sand is wide and clean at this end. Expensive but delivers on the full Ibiza experience if that is what you are after.
Check Availability
Atzaro Agroturismo Hotel
Atzaro is a 19th century finca estate in the northern countryside of Ibiza, surrounded by orange orchards and mature gardens that feel genuinely removed from the island's tourist energy. There are 24 rooms and suites spread across beautifully restored stone buildings, each styled with a warm earthy elegance. The spa facilities are among the best on the island and the outdoor pool is surrounded by one of the most beautiful garden settings in Ibiza. The on-site restaurant is excellent and worth visiting even if you are not staying. A top choice for travelers who want luxury without the beach club crowds.
Check AvailabilityWhere to Stay in Ibiza
The neighborhood you pick matters more than the hotel.
First time in Ibiza: where to base yourself
Ibiza Town is the right answer for most first-timers. You're 8 minutes walk from Dalt Vila, the port is right there, and La Marina neighbourhood has the best restaurant density on the island. You can be on a beach (Figueretas is a 15-minute walk) without committing to a beach-resort area.
Avoid booking in Playa d'en Bossa unless you specifically want proximity to the big clubs. It looks appealing on a map but the area between Hard Rock Hotel and the beach strip is heavily commercialised. First visit? Stay in Ibiza Town, rent a car for day trips, and you'll cover the whole island without paying resort prices.
Ibiza for couples: the romantic picks
Cap Martinet and the Santa Eulalia coastline are where couples actually thrive in Ibiza. Boutique Hotel Tagomago sits on its own small cove near Talamanca, about 10 minutes by car from Ibiza Town but worlds away in atmosphere. Cas Gasi in the countryside near Santa Gertrudis is the most romantic property on the island, full stop.
For dinner, drive to Can Pau in Santa Gertrudis village or take the road down to Cala Mastella for Es Bigotes. one of the best and most low-key seafood spots in the Balearics. Book weeks ahead for that one. Couples who try to do romance in Sant Antoni usually end up disappointed.
Ibiza's club scene: where to stay if you're going out
Playa d'en Bossa is ground zero. Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza is literally adjacent to Hi Ibiza and Ushuaïa, which means you roll back to the room instead of waiting for a €40 cab. The trade-off is noise. ask for a room facing the pool, not the road.
Pacha is in Ibiza Town near the port, so El Hotel Pacha in Figueretas makes sense for that crowd. It's 12 minutes walk to Pacha along the waterfront past Talamanca. Sant Antoni's Amnesia and Eden are best accessed from Hotel Anfora, which sits right in Port de Sant Antoni, 5 minutes from the main club strip.
Family guide: the quieter side of Ibiza
Santa Eulalia del Rio and Cala de Sant Vicent are the two areas we'd point families towards first. Santa Eulalia's beach is wide, calm, and has shallow water. the promenade along Carrer de Ses Parres has ice cream shops and restaurants that won't make you feel like a liability. Cala de Sant Vicent in the north is even more sheltered.
Invisa Hotel Club Cala Blanca is the only family-specific pick on our list, and it's there for a reason. It sits directly on the beach at Cala de Sant Vicent, has proper kids' facilities, and is 35-40 minutes from the Ibiza Town noise. The Las Dalias Hippy Market in Sant Carles, 20 minutes south, is a solid half-day out for families.
Ibiza on a budget: how to do it right
Two budget hotels made our vetted list. Hostal Parque on Plaça des Parc in La Marina is the best-located cheap sleep on the island. you're 5 minutes from the port and 10 from Dalt Vila. Apartamentos Vibra Mogambo in central Sant Antoni has a kitchenette, which is genuinely useful when Sant Antoni beach cafés charge €14 for a sandwich.
Travel in May or October. A room that costs $200/night in August drops to $70-100/night in those months. Rent a scooter instead of a car (€25-35/day vs €45-70/day). Cala Comte and Cala Bassa beaches are free and among the best on the island. you don't need to pay for a beach club to enjoy them.
Ibiza's countryside: the other island
The interior of Ibiza. around Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, Sant Llorenc, and the road between them. is almost a different destination. Stone fincas, fig trees, organic restaurants, and almost zero tourist infrastructure. Cas Gasi and Atzaro Agroturismo are both out here, and both sit in the $200-580/night bracket. Worth every cent if you want to decompress.
Santa Gertrudis village itself has Bar Costa on Plaça de l'Església, which has been serving bocadillos and local wine to expats and farmers equally for decades. It's the real Ibiza. You need a car for this area. the L7 bus runs twice daily and isn't reliable enough for anything spontaneous.
Ibiza's best neighborhoods
Ibiza Town gives you the most. history, nightlife, restaurants, and the port. all walkable. If you're after something quieter, Santa Eulalia is the move.
Ibiza Town 2 vetted hotels History, nightlife, and the best restaurant scene on the island.
History, nightlife, and the best restaurant scene on the island.
Ibiza Town divides into a few distinct pockets. La Marina is the port-side neighbourhood. cobblestoned, lively, and full of bars and restaurants along Carrer de la Mare de Déu. Figueretas is quieter and a bit more residential, 15 minutes walk south of the port. Dalt Vila, the UNESCO-listed walled old city, sits above it all.
Hostal Parque on Plaça des Parc puts you right in the middle of La Marina's buzz for $55-90/night. El Hotel Pacha in Figueretas steps it up to $150-230/night with a pool and direct access to the Pacha club crowd. Both are solid picks depending on what you're after.
Avoid booking anything labelled 'Ibiza Town centre' without checking exactly where it sits. Some properties advertise the address but are actually tucked behind the bus station on Avinguda d'Isidor Macabich, which is neither charming nor convenient. The 10-minute walk to La Marina feels longer at 3am.
Sant Antoni de Portmany 2 vetted hotels Sunset views, beach clubs, and better value than Ibiza Town.
Sunset views, beach clubs, and better value than Ibiza Town.
Sant Antoni gets a bad reputation, and some of it is earned. the stretch around Carrer Santa Agnès is genuinely rough on weekend nights. But Port de Sant Antoni and the Sunset Strip along the western bay are a different story. Café del Mar and Café Mambo draw serious crowds every evening from June to September for the sunset ritual.
Hotel Anfora sits right on the Port de Sant Antoni waterfront at $105-160/night and is the best mid-range option in this part of the island. Apartamentos Vibra Mogambo in Sant Antoni Centre comes in at $70-99/night. the kitchenette and pool are practical, and you're 10 minutes walk from the Sunset Strip.
Sant Antoni is 15 km from Ibiza Town. the L3 bus runs roughly every 30 minutes in peak season for €3. Cala Gració beach is a 20-minute walk north of town and far less packed than the main bay. If you're renting a car, Cala Comte is 12 km south and one of the best beaches in the Balearics.
Santa Eulalia del Rio 2 vetted hotels Calm, upmarket, and genuinely underrated.
Calm, upmarket, and genuinely underrated.
Santa Eulalia is Ibiza's most liveable town and the one most visitors underuse. The Port of Santa Eulalia waterfront is clean, lined with good restaurants, and 25-30 minutes from Ibiza Town by bus or car. Cap Martinet sits between Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town, which is where Boutique Hotel Tagomago occupies a private cove. about 5 minutes from Talamanca Beach.
Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel on the Port of Santa Eulalia is the best-rated property on our entire list at 9.0. You get a spa, rooftop pool, and waterfront position for $130-220/night. genuinely strong value compared to equivalent Ibiza Town properties. Boutique Hotel Tagomago at $160-240/night in Cap Martinet is smaller and more private.
The Wednesday market at Es Canar, 4 km north of Santa Eulalia, is worth building a morning around. Santa Eulalia's own beach, Platja de Santa Eulalia, is long and family-friendly. The L1 bus from Ibiza Town takes about 25 minutes and costs €3.
Ibiza Countryside & North 3 vetted hotels Fincas, silence, and the Ibiza that existed before the clubs.
Fincas, silence, and the Ibiza that existed before the clubs.
The countryside around Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, Sant Llorenc des Cardassar, and Sant Joan de Labritja is where you come to properly switch off. Cas Gasi near Santa Gertrudis sits on 7 acres of organic farmland and has 14 rooms. no kids under 16, no DJs, and a kitchen garden that supplies the restaurant. Atzaro Agroturismo in the north is bigger and slightly more social, with an excellent spa and 300-year-old orange groves.
Invisa Hotel Club Cala Blanca in Cala de Sant Vicent is the most northern property on our list and the only one explicitly designed for families. The beach at Cala de Sant Vicent is one of the most beautiful on the island. wide, sheltered, and clear blue. It's 40 minutes from Ibiza Town by car, which is the point.
You need a car for the countryside. Full stop. The rural bus network (lines L6, L7) runs infrequently and stops early. Hotel rates here reflect exclusivity: Cas Gasi runs $200-310/night and Atzaro hits $320-580/night in July-August. But these aren't inflated prices. both consistently deliver at that level.
Playa d'en Bossa 1 vetted hotel Ibiza's party beach. Loud, relentless, and great if that's what you want.
Ibiza's party beach. Loud, relentless, and great if that's what you want.
Playa d'en Bossa is a 3 km stretch of beach south of Ibiza Town, and in summer it's essentially a continuous outdoor club. Ushuaïa and Hi Ibiza anchor the southern end; the beach itself is wide and the water is genuinely good. It's not quiet, and it's not trying to be.
Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza is the one property we've listed here. At $260-420/night it's the most expensive mid-tier option on our list, but the pool scene, the concert venue, and the direct proximity to Ushuaïa make it worth it for the right traveller. Don't book here if you plan on sleeping before 2am.
The airport is 3 km away, which cuts transfer costs. €8-12 by taxi. Ibiza Town is 4 km north, about €12 by cab or a 10-minute ride on the L1 bus. The beach promenade along Platja d'en Bossa is a solid morning run or walk before the crowds arrive around 11am.
Best Areas by Vibe
Tell us how you travel and we'll point you to the right part of Ibiza.
Romantic
The countryside around Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera is your best bet. Cas Gasi has 14 rooms on organic farmland, no children under 16, and candlelit dinners that feel genuinely private rather than staged.
Culture
Base yourself in Ibiza Town's Dalt Vila neighbourhood. The UNESCO-listed old city walls, the Cathedral at the top, and the Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa on Ronda de Narcís Puget are all within a 15-minute walk of each other.
Family
Cala de Sant Vicent in the north is the cleanest, calmest beach on the island and sits right in front of Invisa Hotel Club Cala Blanca. It's 40 minutes from Ibiza Town's noise, and the shallow bay is safe for young kids.
Budget
La Marina in Ibiza Town gives you the best location-to-price ratio on the island. Hostal Parque on Plaça des Parc starts at $55/night and puts you 5 minutes from the port and 10 from Dalt Vila.
Beach
Playa d'en Bossa is 3 km of beach with warm, clear Mediterranean water and direct access to the island's biggest pool and beach clubs. Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza sits right on it. bring earplugs or lean in completely.
Foodie
Santa Eulalia del Rio has quietly become Ibiza's best eating town. The port waterfront near Aguas de Ibiza has a dozen solid restaurants within a 10-minute walk, and Can Pau in nearby Santa Gertrudis is one of the best tables on the island.
Location Quality
Is the neighborhood walkable? Are restaurants, shops, and attractions within 10 minutes on foot? How does it feel after dark? We evaluate safety, public transport access, and whether the area has genuine local character or just tourist traps. A hotel in the wrong neighborhood ruins a trip. That's why location carries the most weight.
Value for Money
We compare what you pay against what you get. A €150 hotel with a great location, clean rooms, and helpful staff can outscore a €500 hotel with fancy amenities in a bad area. We factor in seasonal pricing, cancellation policies, and hidden costs like tourist tax and breakfast surcharges. The goal is finding the best ratio, not the lowest price.
Guest Experience
We analyze thousands of verified guest reviews across multiple platforms, looking for patterns rather than individual complaints. Consistent praise for cleanliness, staff, and room quality counts. We also assess the intangibles: does the hotel have character? Would you recommend it to a friend? A soul-less chain hotel with perfect facilities still loses to a well-run boutique with personality.
When to Visit Ibiza
When to visit Ibiza and what to pay.
Summer (July-August)
This is peak Ibiza. The big club season runs from late June through September, with Closing Parties in late September drawing massive crowds. Expect $260-580/night for quality hotels and minimum stays of 5-7 nights at boutique properties. Book 3-4 months ahead or you'll be looking at whatever's left.
Shoulder (May-June & September)
This is the window we always recommend. June still gets the early club season energy without the August insanity, and late September after the Closing Parties is almost eerily calm. Hotel rates drop $60-120/night compared to August across the board. Sea temperature sits at 23-25°C. perfectly swimmable.
Spring (March-April)
Most clubs and beach clubs are closed until late May, so this is genuinely a different Ibiza. The countryside is green, the almond trees flower in February and the landscape is beautiful through April. Prices at Atzaro and Cas Gasi drop dramatically. you might find $200-280/night rooms that cost $450+ in July. Good for hikers, cyclists, and people who hate queues.
Winter (November-February)
Most tourist infrastructure closes between November and March. Hostal Parque and a handful of year-round hotels stay open, but you're largely sharing the island with expats and long-term residents. If you want Ibiza Town's Dalt Vila with zero crowds and $55-90/night rooms, this is it. Restaurants on Carrer de la Verge in La Marina stay open year-round and are significantly more relaxed.
Booking Tips for Ibiza
Insider tips for booking hotels in Ibiza.
Book Ibiza Town hotels by exact neighbourhood
La Marina and Dalt Vila are the addresses worth having in Ibiza Town. 'Central Ibiza Town' can mean you're near the bus terminal on Avinguda d'Isidor Macabich, which is a 12-minute walk from anything interesting. Always check the pin on the map before confirming. the difference between a great location and a forgettable one is often 400 metres.
Minimum stays in July-August are non-negotiable
Properties like Cas Gasi, Atzaro, and Boutique Hotel Tagomago enforce 5-7 night minimums from late June through August. If you're planning a weekend trip in peak season, stick to larger hotels like Hard Rock Ibiza or Hotel Anfora, which are more flexible. And expect to book 3-4 months ahead for any July dates. not weeks, months.
Rent a car for anything outside Ibiza Town or Sant Antoni
The bus network covers Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni, and Santa Eulalia reasonably well. the L1 and L3 run every 30 minutes in peak season for €3-4. But the countryside hotels (Cas Gasi, Atzaro) and northern beaches like Cala de Sant Vicent are unreachable without wheels. Car rental runs €35-70/day in season. book ahead, because local agencies sell out by June.
The Closing Parties spike prices in late September
Every major club in Ibiza holds its season-ending Closing Parties in late September, usually across 2-3 weekends. Hotel rates jump $80-150/night during those specific weekends even though the rest of September is shoulder season. Check the closing dates for Pacha, Hi Ibiza, and Amnesia before booking September dates. or use those weekends deliberately if that's your thing.
Ask your hotel about ferry connections to Formentera
Formentera is 30 minutes by fast ferry from Ibiza Town's Estació Marítima d'Eivissa. The ferry runs every 30-60 minutes in peak season for roughly €20-30 return. If you're staying in Ibiza Town or Santa Eulalia, a day trip to Formentera's Ses Illetes beach is genuinely unmissable. Hotels near the port cut your transfer time to zero.
Budget for club entry separately. it adds up fast
Club entry in Ibiza runs €40-80/person for Pacha, Hi Ibiza, or Amnesia in peak season, and that doesn't include drinks. If you're staying near the clubs (Hard Rock in Playa d'en Bossa, El Hotel Pacha in Figueretas), hotel packages often include discounted or free entry. ask directly. We've seen this cut €100+ off a two-night party budget.
Hotels in Ibiza — FAQ
Everything you need to know before booking hotels in Ibiza.
What's the best area to stay in Ibiza?
Ibiza Town is the safest all-round bet. You've got Dalt Vila, the port, and dozens of restaurants in La Marina within a 10-minute walk. Sant Antoni works if you're there for the Sunset Strip and don't mind the party crowd. Avoid Playa d'en Bossa unless you specifically want to be next to Ushuaïa or Hi Ibiza. it's loud, commercial, and hotel prices don't reflect the quality.
How much does a hotel in Ibiza cost per night?
Budget rooms in Ibiza Town start around $55-90/night at places like Hostal Parque in La Marina. Mid-range options in Sant Antoni or Santa Eulalia run $100-230/night. Luxury hotels like Hard Rock Ibiza or Atzaro Agroturismo push $260-580/night in peak July-August.
When is the best time to visit Ibiza?
Late May-June or September is the sweet spot. Temps are around 24-27°C, the sea is warm, crowds are 40% lighter than peak July, and hotels drop $60-100/night compared to August rates. July-August is full-on: clubs, crowds, and prices at their highest.
Is Ibiza good for families?
Yes, especially if you stay in Santa Eulalia del Rio or up near Cala de Sant Vicent. Santa Eulalia's promenade is calm, the beaches are gentle, and it's 25-30 minutes from the Ibiza Town madness. Invisa Hotel Club Cala Blanca sits right on Cala de Sant Vicent, which is one of the island's cleanest and most sheltered beaches.
How do I get around Ibiza without a car?
The L1 bus connects Ibiza Town to Santa Eulalia for around €3, and the L3 covers Sant Antoni from Ibiza Town in about 30 minutes. Taxis from Ibiza Town to Playa d'en Bossa cost roughly €12-18 depending on time of day. For rural areas like Santa Gertrudis or the north countryside, you really do need a rental car. buses don't reach.
Is Ibiza only for clubbers?
Not even close. The UNESCO-listed Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town is one of the best-preserved medieval walled cities in the Mediterranean. The countryside around Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera and the north has agrotourism hotels, organic farms, and almost zero nightlife. Couples and families who pick the right area barely register the club scene at all.
What areas of Ibiza should I avoid when booking?
San An (Sant Antoni's main strip near Carrer Santa Agnès) is a budget package-holiday row with noise until 4am. The stretch of Playa d'en Bossa closest to Hi Ibiza is similarly relentless. If light sleep matters, add at least 10 minutes walking distance from those zones to your search.
Are there good boutique hotels in Ibiza?
Several. Boutique Hotel Tagomago in Cap Martinet sits on a private cove about 5 minutes from Talamanca Beach and feels genuinely removed from the tourist circuit. Cas Gasi in the countryside near Santa Gertrudis is another level entirely: 14 rooms, an organic kitchen garden, and no pool bar DJ. Both start around $160-310/night.
Can I visit Ibiza on a tight budget?
Yes, but you need to be strategic. Hostal Parque in La Marina, Ibiza Town, sits on Plaça des Parc and goes for $55-90/night. Apartamentos Vibra Mogambo in central Sant Antoni comes in at $70-99/night with a kitchenette, which cuts food costs fast. Travel in May or October and you'll pay shoulder-season prices across the board.
How far is the airport from main hotel areas?
Ibiza Airport (Aeroport d'Eivissa) is about 7 km from Ibiza Town. a taxi runs €15-20 and takes roughly 15 minutes. Playa d'en Bossa is practically next to it, under 5 minutes by cab. Sant Antoni is 15-18 km away, so budget around €25-35 for a taxi or take the airport bus for €4.
What's the difference between Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town for hotels?
Ibiza Town has more character, better dining, and the nightlife is all there if you want it. Santa Eulalia is calmer, the Port of Santa Eulalia waterfront is genuinely lovely for evening walks, and hotel quality-to-price ratio tends to be better. Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel on the Santa Eulalia port is a perfect example: $130-220/night for a 9.0-rated property you'd pay double for in Ibiza Town.
Do Ibiza hotels require a minimum stay in summer?
Most do in July and August. Expect 5-7 night minimums at boutique and rural hotels like Cas Gasi and Atzaro. Larger hotels like Hard Rock Ibiza and Hotel Anfora are more flexible, but rooms disappear fast. Book 3-4 months ahead for any July dates, especially around the Closing Parties in late September when the island fills up again.
